H S L is the pioneer S hipbuilding and S hip repairs Y ard functioning under the
M inistry of D efence. The C om pany is looking for S em i-S killed w orkm en belonging to ST
category for the follow ing posts:

S P E C IFIC A TIO N S :
(a) Q ualification M ust have pass in S S C or E quivalent.
For the posts at (a) to (c) candidates m ust have ITI in the
relevant trades w ith N ational A pprenticeship C ertificate (N A C )
E xam ination in concerned trade conducted by N C V T of the
D irectorate G eneral of E m ploym ent and training, M inistry of
labour, G ovt. of India. E x. H S L A pprentice Training w ith N A C w ill
be given preference.
(b) E xperience M inim um 3 years experience in the relevant trade in S hipbuilding
/ S hip repairs/ N aval D ockyards. P roof of experience is to be
enclosed.
In case of internal candidates engaged on direct contract by H S L
and presently on rolls, proof of their experience in H S L need not
be enclosed for their period of engagem ent by H S L.
(c) U pper A ge Lim ited: 33 years as on 01 Jan 2015 (inclusive of 5 years age relaxation)
(d) D uration: P erm anent
(e) P ay S cale: R s. 6,970 -13,700 plus other adm issible allow ance
(f) N ature of D uties The selected Tradesm an w ill have to w ork in S hipbuilding and
S hip R epairs D ivision and also carryout other w orks entrusted by
the D epartm ent in w hich they are posted from tim e to tim e as per
the P roductions Norm s.
Note: In case of internal employees engaged on direct contract by H S L and presently
on rolls, age relaxation w ill be allow ed.



G E N E R A L:
i) Indian N ationals belonging to S cheduled Tribe category only need to apply
ii) A pplication form m ay be dow nloaded from H S L w ebsite
iii) A pplication m ust be in response to our advertisem ent. A dvertisem ent N o. and
post applied for m ust be clearly m entioned on th e application form and also
super scribed on the en velope.iv) A pplication should be subm itted strictly as per the prescribed form at available
on the H S L w ebsite and all supporting docum ents in support of qualifications;
age; experience, reservation category m ust be enclosed failing w hich the
candidature w ill be sum m arily rejected.
v) A ll instructions as given on the H S L w ebsite m ust be adhered, failing w hich, the
applicant w ill be disqualified for the post.
vi) The application should contain self-attested copies of the follow ing: -
a) C opy of proof of age.
b) S S C or equivalent certificate
c) ITI pass certificate, m ark sheets.
d) C aste C ertificate
e) R elevant E xperience certificate.
vii) O ne recent passport size photograph is to be pasted on the form and one extra
photograph to be attached w ith the application.
viii) A pplication m ust be forw a rded through P ostal/C ourier services only.
A pplications forw arded through other m eans including Fax, e -m ail or hand
delivery W ILL N O T be entertained.
ix) M ere possession of the requisite qualification and experience w ill not confer
any right to be called for interview . H ow ever, the M anagem ent reserves the
right to increase or relax qualifying criteria viz., % of qualification m arks /
N um ber of years of experience depending on the num ber of applicants.
x) C andidates presently w orking in G overnm ent / P ublic S ector U ndertakings or
A utonom ous bodies should route the ir applications through proper channel or
else “N o O bjection C ertificate” from the present O rganization shall be produced
at the tim e of interview . W ithout ‘N o O bjection C ertificate’, the candidates w ill
not be interview ed and accordingly no TA w ill be paid.

xii) The filled in application as per the above form at along w ith the attested copies
of all the relevant certificates including S T C aste C ertificate, certificate of proof
of previous experience / em ploym ent should reach the G eneral M anager (H R ),
H industan S hipyard Ltd., G andhigram (P O ), V isakhapatnam – 530 005 on or
before 16 Feb 2015 .
xiii) A pplication w ill be rejected if they are
- N ot as per the given application form at
- If it is incom plete
- If it doesn’t have full contact address, m obile num ber and valid e -m ail id
- W ithout subm itting certified copies of D ate of B irth, Q ualification
exam ination provisional/ m arks lists, C aste C ertificate and proof of
experience etc.,
- R eceived after the due date w ill not be considered and no correspondence
in this regard w ill be entertainedxiv) C andidature of candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitm ent
process or after recruitm ent or joining, if any inform ation provided by the
candidate is found to be false or not in conform ity w ith the eligible criteria
m entioned in the advertisem ent
